Stoke Bruerne Village at War 2019

Featured Posts

A lovely weekend spent at Stoke Bruerne.  Lots to do and see and kind weather too.

A few of my personal highlights shown in the four videos in this playlist below, which include the photographs  ( click1/4 symbol top & right of the picture  )

Mr "Crew" sir...

Can I please just express my extreme gratitude to you for your help when I was having my "medical emergency".

Unfortunately, as you know, I only really got to be involved in the Saturday proceedings, before leaving on Sunday in an emergency ambulance, but I'm greatly heartened to hear of everybody who stepped in to support Cath at a time  that must have been fairly very frightening for her.

It looks like you had a good weekend - we trust you did!

Very happy to have helped and hope you're on the mend.

Well I'm currently back home, as if nothing had happened, but until the slow wheels of the NHS turn to the point it has been more thoroughly investigated, we have not a lot of idea what actually happened, (or more accurately I should say what caused it to happen).

Thanks so much for your help - everybody who needed to helped, and a lot who didn't need to continue to offer.  A tribute to the type of people involved in this kind of event.

We are pleased you are doing well - long may it continue.

In the meantime Flamingo is safe and secure here and you have authority from CRT to remain until it is able to be moved.  I'll keep an eye on it too.

If you need any help Alan let us know by pm. We came through today boat fine. Our place is in just outside weedon so it would be easy for us to help cath get the boat back even if its only a car shuffle or list.

Hope Nhs sorts you out.

Sorry lift... you dont need a list

Thank you for good wishes, and offer of help.

We still haven't quite worked out what our next move is, though, although we need to soon.

Best regards!

Just been to see a wide boat through the tunnel - well a couple of hours ago.  Flamingo looks fine from the outside and CRT are aware you need time to consider when moving it is sensible - in the meantime concentrate on your wellbeing and I'll keep an eye on Flamingo for as long as is necessary.

Well it seems our dogs  (and us) have made it onto the Friends of the Canal Museum page for the recent Village at War event...

Just as well they chose a Saturday photo, rather than a Sunday one, or it might instead have shown me being wheeled away on a trolly by a pair of paramedics!

Thanks,

Having just been told I'm classed as a "non urgent"to see a Neurology specialist, and that there is at least an 18 week wait time in my local NHS, I'm not sure I'm expecting to learn much more about what the issue actually might have been for quite a while, unfortunately.

I had exactly the same. Most of the problem had righted itself by the time I got my appointment!
