A pointless and shortsighted snipe at brokers who by and large, provide a good service.

You've obviously never tried to run your own sizeable business!

Not a pointless and shortsighted snipe. Just commenting that itis easy money for a business..

It is an easy business to start. No entry barriers. You only need a marina's permisssion, a portacabin, a phone, a printer and an internet connection to start, all of which can be rented to further reduce entry costs.

Currently a buyers market, with relatively little competition.

For your information I ran a large department with over 100 staff for a multi-national telecoms company and have a degree in business administration.

So why the snippy comment about it being nice work if you can get it.

Its easy to get, or so you say.

It pisses me off when people snipe at the prices companies have to charge to survive in competitive markets. Can you tell? :giggles:

Midland Chandlers suffer from it a lot on here too. If it is all so easy, why not grab some of the easy action your self and make yourself a killing?

Because say relative to your business, and where you need to train, gain qualifications, join a professional body, buy stock, buy and maintain a vehicle, buy and maintain specialist tools and testers, pay for public liability insurance etc etc it is an easy business to get into.

How many other business are that easy to start? Not many I'll wager.

Midland Chandlers is a very different kettle of fish. They need large premises, a central warehouse and a massive investment in stock.
