We have a heritage compact duette.A really good bit of kit and have no regrets about having it.We have never had any issues regarding power. Obvisously  it uses some power. It runs on Diesel and is very economical.Yes on a really hot day its a pain but you have a Salad or light the BBQ.This time of year its lovely with its residual heat. With often saves you power/fuel as you don't use other forms of heating.

Good point about the gentle warmth this time of year  it often saves lighting the wood burner when you get that awkward transition in the spring and autumn.  Mine came with the boat. As I had to do a complete refit I almost took it out but I’m glad I kept it .

We had a Heritage diesel range installed eleven years ago. I could not be happier with it and have no complaints. However at these difficult times we do not expect the service team to travel from Liskeard to carry out servicing. An earlier post suggests “....any suitable approved oil certified enginer can service - the burners are basically central heating uits with different burner nozzle to accept diesel. so issues on getting engineers is a myth...”.

I have previously been given the names of two engineers who cover Bedfordshire, one didn’t come back to me and another confirmed he was not insured to work on boats. Has anyone used an engineer anywhere near Leighton Buzzard in Bedfordshire that they could recommend as DIY servicing is definitely not an option for us.

When we had a Heritage compact duo in a previous boat, we used Paul Hollamby for a service at Harefield/Uxbridge. Was very experienced with the Heritage and said they're the best to work on and most reliable. Also have contact details for a Dave Keanan and an 'Andy' who I've marked in my phone as unreliable. PM for contact numbers unless Google is your friend!
