Tracy D'arth
Stink from food factory. Very busy road. Is the concrete bridge still there? I don't know if anyone has access over it. Are the donkeys gone?
Alway Swilby
https://bidx1.com/en/en-gb/auction/property/54518 No road access. Apparently when they get a pump out of the septic tank the wagon needs long pipes draped over the lock gates.

jake_crew
Looks to me like the original property has been split into 2 or more smaller units. I guess calling it " Lodge " enables the original named to be retained in some way.

So, much like the Kings Lock Tearooms property, that also has no road access.

Mind you it's rather larger than it would have been when a lock-keeper occupied it: the estate agent doesn't know how much bigger, as he refers to it as "eight bedrooms, six bathrooms" and, a few lines below, "six bedrooms". We just came past, the original cottage is perhaps 5% of the floor space.

It was occupied by an elderly lady who had spent most of her life in India. By the time we met her she was a bit confused and not really coping with life - early stages of dementia probably. After she left it was empty for quite a while, before the enormous extension was built.
