Type: Navigation Closure 
Reason: Structure failure


 

Update on 30/08/2019:

 

Our contractors are on site and we aim to have the lock gates fixed by the end of today.

 

We will update the website accordingly.

 

Original message:

 

Please be advised that due to an issue with one of the lock gates, Derwent Mouth Lock is currently closed to boat traffic.

We are working to have the issue resolved as soon as possible.

Our till receipt for Sawley Marina was timed just after 2pm so we got through just in time yesterday

Anyone know which the last two boats through the lock before it needed to be closed were?

No, everyone was looking the other way with grimaces on their faces.
