JD3 belts

Need a new belt for my travelpower and a spare for the alternator. Can't find any info googling (although signal not been great on phone whilst away). 

 

The currebt belts are as follows:

Gates micro-v 68397

 

alternator

0103

Medway AX57 13X1448 Li

 

any info much appreciated.

You will need to translate the first belt into standard speak, like xPK yyyy where x is the number of ribs and yyyy is the pitch length. The PK is the rib size and this is car standard.   There are others though.   That said a decent belt supplier should be able to supply a Gates 68397, or equivalent.  Have you tried a search on somewhere like bearing boys, or go to a local bearing stockist with belt.

 

The second belt looks like a A section belt (13 mm wide) with an inner length of 1448 mm (57 inches).   Either buy on line or take it to a bearing or belt stockists and ask for "one of these".  They should have a measuring widget which will enable them to check the length.

Eriks or whoever Fenner became are usually OK.

PS A bit of a Google leads me to think that the Gates belt is a 6PK1400. Loads of on line suppliers.

Thansl for the info. However, boat now out of water with bow-thruster being repaired at Dave Bixter's who is also fitting a new belt.
