Do I need to disconnect the battery charger?

Featured Posts

Hi

This may be a silly question and that might explain why I'm finding it hard to discover an answer, but here goes...

I have a PACO MBC 1220 battery charger permanently wired to my leisure battery bank. It operates only when the boat is connected to the shoreline on my home mooring.

Manual for charger : https://www.libble.eu/paco-mbc-1220/online-manual-811994/

There is a fuse in the positive lead of the 12v charger output. Do I need to remove this fuse when I go cruising and the battery charging becomes the responsibility of the 90Ah alternator?

Thanks in anticipation.
