Narrowboat kits of precut steel

Hi guys after the topic about shell build there's a few people commenting about pre-cut kits anybody got any idea of boat builders that do them.  cheers

If you have the skills and equipment to assemble a series of precut pieces into a complete shell, surely you also have the ability to cut the pieces out from rectangular sheets. What you need is a set of plans.

Bog standard narrow boats are not complex shapes that require pre cut pieces,  basically they are made from standard sizes of plate, sheet and section, mostly straight line cuts to trim to size, the high end ones use patterns they developed by trial and error that are kept secret .

These guys used to supply kits to S M Hudson no less
