We finally traced the fault for this unit not starting down to the main HP pump failing. We got pump refurbuished and changed fuel inlet solenoid whilst at it at it appeared not to open fully.

 

Now great - the bugger starts but on first start it settled at constant speed and settled to 50Hz..... then went into rev overdrive overrevving (had to decompress to stop) but not before a big pop and burning electrical smell.... fuses ok.

 

Any clues what this could be - looks major!

I'd Check the motor capacitors , there's two under the plate on the top .if you need new ones message me il dig out the company that supplied mine,  much much cheaper than mastervolt.

It looks like the massive surge in revs/amps has actually blown the invertor charger (hopefully a fuse) and the MPPT.
