Does anybody know of any road transporters down around Kent area or London etc.

I am after a few prices to move a Freeman 30 with a 10 foot beam from Hoo in Rochester to Beeston area Nottingham.

If anybody knows of anybody please tell. PM or here.

Thanks

Captain Faffer :)

1st hit on google when you put in Ray Bowern.

Most boats can be moved anytime. Boats over 15 metres long / 2.7 metres wide will require a police permit, so please allow an additional 3 days.

It is going to be too big and heavy for someone with a 4x4 and trailer.

Try Beverley Transport or Midland Boat Transport. They move a lot of boats around for Burton Waters so may be able to fit it in as a back load and save some pennies.

Got a few prices last night. From £1k to £1500 . Or one chap as you mention Rach could do it on a return and save a few hundred  quid. Will be dropping it in at Redhill marina. So then a 16 day ish vruise home. What and adventure.

T thinks i am getting worse since she diagnosed  me with OBD.

Ow its all good to  me and in budget its just the viewing to be done.

Blimey Wayne, the paint is barely dry on your last project boat and now you are going to get another one! ?

Are you going to enjoy Kashoggi or sell her on when you get the  new one?

No chance, i did have a stupid thought of selling if the the Fisher 37 was good but nah keeping it for a good few seasons.

And i need to wet the paint more yet to touch up the battle scars lol.

T says i got OBD.

You don't need to go with a specialist boat mover. I had a 12ft wide cruiser brought down from Scotland for £550 (no police permit, but there had to be two drivers in the cab), I just rung some local haulage companies and found one that was going my way and could fit me in. Obviously you will still need some way of loading/ unloading. Good luck :)

Thats what i have always done up here with all my other boats. I have called a few down south but they dont move boats.

I just added it onto Shiply, forgot about them. Been good in the past  fro when i used to mes with cars.
