At that price its almost worth having a few spares in the JiC cupboard.

Indeed. And i always seem to buy batteries under stress. I needed the last one NOW not in an hour’s time !

Just a little update for everyone...

It seems it is not an alarm at all. It is the inverter turning itself on when it's switch is off?!

I realised this this morning.

So my inverter is simply deciding by itself if it wants to be on or not.

It has 3 switch settings on/off/remote... I have no remote fitted. So use just on/off. But atm on is on, and off is on or off with a mind of its own?

Could it just be a wiring issue at the switch?

Is off actually “off”, or is it “standby”?

On the switch it says.

On/off/remo.

Says same in the manual.

Something made me think it was standby yesterday, but once again I stand corrected "said the man in the orthopedic shoes" ?

Personally I would fit a dedicated good quality master switch in its supply and be done with it. Then you know off means off and no whatever the inverter decides but I find it very hard to believe someone would make an inverter that you can not turn off. Maybe the switch contacts are stuck, especially if its a rocker switch.
