dreadnought Posted June 23, 2019 Report Share Posted June 23, 2019 hi,ive had a fuel leak from the linkage at the side of the fuel pump for a little while, now it seems to be getting worse,i loose about a tablespoon full an hour,the engine is the bmc 1800, my question is has anyone got an idea of what i need to do to fix this, many thanks in advance Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Tony Brooks Posted June 23, 2019 Report Share Posted June 23, 2019 Might help if you marked a decent photo where the fuel is leaking from. Probably not the easiest engien to clean and dry so you can find the leak but if you want good advice it needs doing. Possibilities - leak from throttle spindle O ring (fairly common) Leak from one of two or on a 1.8 possibly 3 bleed screws. Leak from governor housing to pump body gasket. Leak from inlet or outlet union Leak from injector pipe union Leak from pump end cover (regulating valve housing) gasket. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
