Arthur Marshall
Any ideas as to where to get replacement glass for small portholes? I've got a couple of 8cm ones i want to put in the back doors, but they've come with 4mm glass and they really need 6mm to fit. I can't find anyone on line that'll make me such small pieces apart from one place in America that seems to want £90.
David Mack
You could try https://www.blackcountrymetalworks.co.uk/clear-porthole-glass.htm .
alan_fincher
Do you mean you want 8cm diameter glass. Midland Chandlers sell ones stated as 3 3/16" diameter, which I make just under 8.1cm. Any chance they would fit?
GUMPY
Any decent glass merchant should be able to cut a circle in 6mm laminated glass. N.B normal glass is 3 or 4mm laminated is made from 2 x 3mm layers.
Chewbacka
You could consider polycarbonate though cutting an 80mm diameter with a jig saw will be difficult

Failing that, Manchester Glass in Denton have made double glazed laminated porthole units for us a while ago, not expensive either. It might be a bit of a faff for such a small size. matty40s
Not sure where you are but we use Danetre Glass in Daventry, they will make us almost anything up, and can do laminate for portholes if you wish.
