Captain Fizz
It's been raining steadily for the last 15 hours in the aptly named Weedon!
Naughty Cal
There was almost a faint glimpse of blue sky this morning in Worksop. By the time we had driven into Sheffield however that was long gone and it was back to rain, rain and more rain.

I have a memory of Worksop being about the grimmest place I'd ever been in the UK... and it was sunny that day!

It isn't the best town centre in the UK I will give it that but we have certainly seen worse. If we want to be more up market we are in Gateford not Worksop

If we want to be more up market we are in Gateford not Worksop Well, it was years ago and, for what it's worth, I hope the sun shines on Worksop (and Gateford) very soon in every respect! I'm sure the good people there deserve a bit of sunshine. If they do get some, I do hope they share it with the rest of us.
Rob-M
It's only raining now so that when we go out in a few weeks time there are no issues with the water levels.

Although on the plus side it is washing the dust off... No it's our fault. At last years Crick show we were tempted to buy one of those very expensive £300 12v air coolers but decided against it due to the cost, only to regret not having done so when then followed two of the hottest months for 40 years. So this year we took the plunge and bought one, especially as the long term forecast was for similar to last summer. 3 weeks later and it's still in the box

Athy
I just looked at the latest update on BBC Wetter. It shows that, here in the Fens, it will rain until about 11 p.m. when most people are going to bed. It will then be dry overnight, but the rain will start again about 6 a.m. and continue whilst most people are going to work. Just thought I'd share the glad tidings. roland elsdon
Knew shouldn’t have got our Victorian terrace back from the tenant. She never complained about roof leaks, but I have found 3 since we got it back, so no rent money and schrodingers leaks. Ill put it back on lease that will fix it
