That's OK, it can be sorted at the next blacking thus giving the owners a chance to demonstrate that they can manage perfectly well without the thruster should they need to - or an opportunity to learn! :)

I would imagine that applies to propeller replacement on  most bow thrusters. There is an internal shear pin on my bow thruster which is accessible from inside the boat with no fear of sinking but that had not failed in my case.
