Featured Posts

I noticed yesterday, a trip boat in the basin next to BW butty 249, the cycle boat,. There is no name on the side.

It’s the Bosworth.  Not a historic boat and I presume ex-Ashby Canal.

The Cycle Boat is the Carina which is of course historic!

The Carina, a GUCCC butty, yes. The Bosworth, I recall the last time I saw her at Gas Street, I thought was named.

I wrote her as Bosworth Lady, first for Bill and Sue Jeffrey at Sutton Cheney on the Ashby and years later for the Away Group, based on Gas St.

I used a trip boat from Sutton for the  RCHS on the Ashby Canal as part of the 2008 AGM, it was one way and was combined with a railway visit to Shakerstone. I presume it was Bosworth Lady.
