Ben built for Talbot Garage of Kidderminster and later with T & S Element was on the Caldon and used to deliver coal etc. The last owner was Rupert Smedley. I recall seeing this boat at one of the Pesall Rallies, but where is the craft now?

I have recently been told that BEN is still on the Caldon Canal and under the same ownership :captain:

I remember when Ben was in the hands of Jackie and Sean Lloyd before they bought The Frederick Whittingham (I wonder what happened to them?)

It was them who de-converted Ben, they took the boat down through a narrow lock with scaffolding poles protruding through the windows and then scooped it all into the hold.

It was looking a bit worse for wear in September ‘17
