Anyone around Middlewich / Wheelock area - has anyone seen, or can you look out for a black and white cat either around Middlewich at the Newton Brewery Inn / playpark area, or Wheelock services. We thought she was asleep in the wardrobe, but must have snuck out whilst we were travelling today! Mostly black on top with white paws, underneath and moustache. She also has a very notable saggy belly! Her name is Misty. She's pretty friendly. Would probably come to you if called / bribed.

She is chipped but isn't wearing her collar.

Not a lover of cats but realise that misplacing any lovable pet can be awful. Hope she finds you.

Cats can disapear for days at a time and come back as cheeky as you like.

Just wait for a (long) time.

Much love to you and the Bickies clan, may you see little Misty home soon, safe and sound.

Have you been back to where you left her? My friend had a cat wander off at the flashes, they looked for hours and eventually gave up and went home.

Six weeks later they were sailing past the flashes again and the cat was sat on the towpath waiting for them! Thinner and wiser.

We have just come down the Wheelock flight to Wheelock, where we now are.

I'm sorry to say I have not seen this cat, but when we progress into Middlewich we will keep a firm look out.

Thanks Alan.

Also thanks all for the well wishes.  We got a lift back to Middlewich off a local boater but she was nowhere to be seen, so we will retrieve the car and go and look for her again this evening.  She might be asleep somewhere and come out again at dusk.

Sorry.

Have now moved up from Wheelock to Middlewich, but nothing seen.

Will continue to keep an eye out - we are here overnight now.

Darn it, yet another daring escape attempt foiled by those shifty humans! It's back to NB Colditz - for you Misty, the war is over.

P.S.  I've heard building a glider in the loft might work...

;)

Yay!  MrsBiscuit found her at Wheelock just now.

We think she must have been hiding or sleeping earlier.

Special thanks to Ran who picked me up at Red Bull services and drove me to Middlewich and then Wheelock and then back to the boat this morning.

Also grateful thanks to the Finchers who we only met last night for their efforts.

Excellent, just excellent!

There is, incidentally, a black and white cat hanging around where we are moored in Middlewich, but it wasn't a match to the photograph you posted.

Just as long as she doesn't try digging a tunnel 😁
