How do I get rid of this? "One selected"

Attached a screen shot - its showing up when I'm on "what? how?" But not on any other thread. I don't know how I got it and I don't know how to get rid of it!

If I'm reading you right, look at the top right of a/the thread and click on the 'follow of following' link - you should see a drop down menu where you can choose if you want notifications or not - hope that helps
