carlt Posted April 25, 2019 Report Share Posted April 25, 2019 (edited) All this etiquette about lifting fenders whilst under way and we leave the one fender in place that could actually sink the boat. I made my front fender safe by never having one attached to the boat at all... Stow it on the front deck "ready to be deployed" if you have to but in 35 years of boating I have never had one, relying on the big fat stem iron to act as a fender.
