Anyone any thoughts on the boat?!?!

It's an interesting concept but if I was seriously considering something like that then I would be looking more towards a kayak (possibly a sit on one) to which I might add an electric motor. That I feel would offer me more of the options I would be looking for from a teeny tiny beastie.

ETA Sorry, not really what you were wanting.

Buy it, build it, use it once, grin inanely, then spend the next few years tripping over it as it gathers dust in the back of the garage.

I suppose it might have a specialist use, for exploring those wee creeks and such which are impassable in a proper boat.

they look far too easy to capsize, for that money i'd sooner have a decent kayak and power it myself

but then no one would say .................... hey................. look at that guy!

I watched the video merely because I couldn't imagine how you'd climb into one without wearing an expression of terror due to its top heavy wobbly'ness.

No where in the video do we see anyone attempting it, so I conclude that's its main design flaw.  Possibly along with the jigsaw joints in the hull flying apart following a head on meeting with anything stationary.

Great fun ……. but not for me nor anyone I remotely care about.

What's the benefit of that over a dingy?

The chance to be ridiculed ?

Aside from the cartoon look, which appeals to me, the sitting position and the small cabin covering the wheel (and camera etc) look very practical - this may prove an illusion! I could also see the appeal of gliding round a newly dug out bit of canal in one - if one held a restoration festival in 100 yards of reopened canal one or two of these would catch the eye
