I fancy getting a small portable washing machine for the summer. Does anyone use one and if so what are your recommendations please.

Yup - a 'camping twin tub' about £80 from caravan / motorhome 'shops'.

 

Very low electric consumption, low water consumption just requires a bit of manual intervention (taking out of the washing drum and putting into the spinning drum).

Gets them dryer than the big auto machine at home.

Seconded. You can wash and dry a tub load of washing in 15 minutes and Mrs Hound says they come out cleaner thsn when washed in the full size automatic machine at home.
