It seems to be quite full at the moment.

Year or more since we were last there. I usually email Phil to find the current situation if we want to leave the boat.

Others have suggested hiring a boat before you commit to purchasing.

The Lyneal Trust on the Llangollen Canal have narrowboats suitable for families with a disabled person.

I have no connection apart from speaking to boaters who are using them.

I steered a boat from the Lyneal Trust in 2015, which had been hired by a disabled friend and his able bodied friend for a week.

Very cheap to hire, and nice people to do business with.

The 70 foot boat had wheel and tiller steering so could be steered by a person in a wheelchair as well as an able bodied person, a hydraulic lift so that a wheelchair bound person could easily access the boat, and a very large shower adapted for disabled use.

They also hire canalside cottages adapted for use by disabled people.
