Inverter

If you're wanting to keep 240 volt running, it needs to be on. If you have nothing running at 240 volts, it's off. The engine is charging the batteries, charging is only used when you're connected to shore power.

Morning all in what mode should my inverter be whilst cruising, on, off or charging. Thanks in advance.

Just clarify what you mean by inverter? do you mean combi as an inverter does not have a charging capability?

Thanks very much for the advice

"charge only" when on shore power. Then if the electric goes you will know about it. If you have it to "on" while on shore power & the electric goes, it will be 'inverting' your electric from your batteries draining them to flat without you noticing.
