It's actually correct, though perhaps not a-purpose.

Thus - assuming that there was only one teacher.

Possibly should be a colon rather than a semi-colon.

Missing stop at the end!

Blackadder:
Bob, take a telegram. "To Mr. C. Chaplin, Sennet Studios, Hollywood, California. Congrats stop. Have found only person in world less funny than you stop. Name: Baldrick stop. Signed, E. Blackadder stop". Oh, and put a P.S.: "Please, please, please... stop."

Don't worry.  It was a farm shop's apostrophe, since greengrocers are hard to find these days.

Not punctuation, but a sign put next to the tills at Ikea - 'Please bare with us while the tills are down' - I've now been banned for life at Ikea.

A 'frequent' poster acquired a 'large' quantity of apostrophes destined for greengrocers - making them hard to 'find' in the shops.

One that winds me up:

"Refer back"...aaargh!

Another:

"A moment in time".  (A moment is a period of time).

In a similar tautological vein: Train guard: "Ely will be our next station stop".

Is there a halt just before Ely?
