Yep.He's an imaginary cartoon tiger as opposed to a real cartoon tiger. Sorry , but you had to find out at some point in time.

If he is imaginary, how come so many of us remember him?

Oh, and welcome back Mike ?

I'm now just sittin here with the Lithiums 90% full (on a charge cycle to get them up to near 100% to test the voltage termination relay) and they are sucking all the amps they can get out of the solar panels. FLA's would be throttling the current back to low levels by now. What a waste of power.

But!! with flas ya dont need to worry about having seventeen million safety gadgets built in to stop over charging, undercharging, high volts, low volts, dont have to wrap em up cos it might get cold and they die of pneumonia, dont need a bank loan or mortgage to buy some, dont have to sort some specialist kit, dont have to find somewhere that sells em cos flas are on the shelf everywhere, dont need a re wire etc etc etc etc etc apart from that lithiums are a great idea ?

FLAs are only any good if your idea of a large electrical load is one LED in amongst the candles.

?  Always wondered how you actually got the tiger in your tank but then I'm not very worldly wise..........

Youcould get a tail to attach to the filler cap. (Went well with the Regent (remember them?) stick on bullet holes for the back window)

No I don't remember any of that - I did wonder what the afore mentioned tiger tail was for ?

IIRC the bullet hole stickers were issued by Esso to celebrate the release of the James Bond film Goldfinger.

Not seen a Mod on here for weeks, you scared them off.

Never had you down as being a sensitive old boiler fixer, well, well.

With all those minor burns over the years you should be more thick skinned.

Welcome back,----------Behave!

Just question the correlation . . .

Funnily enough I took mine off when I had boat painted  summer before last and found I dont need em. I cruised nearly every day last summer for several months so had full batteries whenever I moored up. I am at present on mains hook up and we all know leccy is near as damn it free on one of those and no time limits. If I ever moor up again for any length of time without mains hook up I would stick some more solar on the roof but for ccing as in moving daily or being on hook up they are realy of little use. Glad you are back you old fox ?

Ok lemme get this straight....

You, as a boater who spends all his time either cruising every day or moored up on 240v hook-up, declare Lithium batteries pointless and a waste of time and effort. Yes?
