It's 7 years to the day since I met Kathy for the first time and it's all your fault ?

(Langollen aquaduct lyrics by  Si̶m̶o̶n̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶a Gar̶f̶u̶n̶k̶e̶l̶  Mr Rusty)

Let us be boaters, we'll marry our four tunes together
I've got some real ale here in my bilge
So we bought a pack of cashew nuts, and Mrs. Miggins pies
And we cruised off, cruised off, to look for Llangollen aquaduct

Kathy, I said, as we entered the tunnel at Blisworth
Bugbrooke seems like a dream to me now
It took us four days to reach the boat inn at Stoke Bruerne
We've gone to look for Llangollen aquaduct

Laughing at the locks, playing games with the paddles
She said the man in the rubber drysuit was a spy
I said be careful, his lifejacket's really a camera

Toss me a windlass, I think there's one in my raincoat"
"We dropped the last one an hour ago"
So I looked at the scenery, she read her Nicholson guide.
And the moon rose over an open field.

Kathy I'm lost, I said
We should have turn'd left at Norton junction
Well, I'm empty and aching ,it could be that Miggins pie.

Counting the widebeams on the North Oxford interchange.
They've all come to look for somewhere to live.
They've all come to look for  Llangollen aquaduct.........

While we are posting about ex-members, can anyone remember the chap who used to post, mainly about electrics, and argue constantly with Gibbo (and others).

I think he probably knew his stuff - certainly the arguments were entertaining.

Smileypete?

John Orentas?

No hang on - he generally failed the first bit of your second paragraph!......

Chris W in the flesh was a very different prospect from Chris W on CWDF.  (We used to both moot at the same site).

"Moot

VERB[WITH OBJECT] Raise (a question or topic) for discussion; suggest (an idea or possibility)"

(From https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/moot)

Sounds appropriate!

So, is Buckaneer MtB in bed-socks?. Is it OK to moot that point?

If not, why is he not here? We have laid out the red carpet, is it political? Should we get a blue one?

He's either gone ashore for a loaf or gone a'roving, a'roving across the ocean. Pieces of 8.  Ned Teach, a Welshman was Blackbeard the pirate.

I can't believe we've come to a point where Bizzard is quoting another post... and the one which makes the most sense is Bizzard's! :D

It’s a verb with object. It’s not a standalone verb. So you can’t moot something but you can raise a moot point. Inversely, a point may be moot.
