Kendorr
I'm considering having a pram hood fitted to KenDorR, but that is something for the future. So, today my Brolly-mate arrived and guess what? It doesn't come with a brolly!! Now, believe it or not, I have never owned, or used a brolly in my 60 years of life. So, has anyone got thoughts and ideas for a type of brolly to use? I'm assuming I'll go for something like a golf brolly and saw this one on ebay https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Large-Golf-Umbrella-Automatic-Windproof-Vented-Canopy-Brolly-Black/143010730142?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3Dde8ae34648a14b3f9acfb9ee73ef4fca%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D15%26mehot%3Dlo%26sd%3D143010730142%26itm%3D143010730142&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3Af9b39465-2bc8-11e9-a8d8-74dbd180b293|parentrq%3Ace3496441680ac3dc6003581ffe217b9|iid%3A1 Any thoughts? NB Lola
Looks fine. I have brolly mate too and a brolly is a brolly bar them flimsy little things.
Jen-in-Wellies
I've seen them used to hold shortened whirly-gig washing lines too. A golf umbrella should work fine. Keep an eye out for low bridges and overhanging trees. I've used a brolly as an improvised parasol when cruising on very hot days. One hand holding the brolly, the other the tiller and another for everything else. The very problem the brolly mate was designed to solve. Mike Hurley
Fishing brolly could worth a look.
Sea Dog
I have one of these which came in my boat's inventory. Any straight handled brolly (with a handle no fatter than the hole it goes in, obviously) fits. If yours gets anything like the use mine gets after initial use... I'd skip the buying a brolly stage! BEngo
Buy a cheap brolly. They always seem to get caught or escape on a gust just as you are doing something really tricky. N
Fender151
So like Sea Dog, i have brolley mate, it came with the boat, in three years, I have used it, let me reflect, NEVER a once. But it's good to have mates I guess,!
