The "thing" is back!

Looking at an ebay link in another thread, I note that the strange Birmingham boat is back on Ebay, with a think a new seller (or not)

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Narrow-Boat-Canal-liveaboard-Dutch-Barge-Houseboat-ECO-ELECTRIC-Narrowboat-PX/123620830291?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D20140122125356%26meid%3D0868fe37d3984465b74eac9056328692%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D5%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D202588068964%26itm%3D123620830291&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851

Still looks horrible, inside and out!
And how the hell can you call it "eco electric" with that ruddy great outboard on the back?

Messaged buyer:
"Can you please tell me where I can see this boat and where I can arrange a pre-purchase survey?"

For those that haven't seen it the pictures don't do it justice. It really is the most ugly and impractical boat I've seen on the canals. Far worse than the pictures show!

Added to the fact the quality of finish on the outside looks like something a 5 year old would be ashamed of. Can't see it being worth £7.5k, £75k for that is utter madness!

Have seen other boats advertised by that seller, (Rawson) on e bay before. Judging by the text, not a native English speaker. Probably a wheeler dealer.

When I was a lad,£75000 was the fortune that was to be won on Vernons pools. Heaven help anyone who spoke on a Saturday evening, when my Mum was checking her coupon from the wireless.

The boat looks generally pretty horrible. Wonder if it is a homebuild.  Can't see a professional builder producing something like that.

I see the vendor of the "thing" is reminding potential buyers that they have two months left before Brexit if they wish to export the boat without "border fees".

I don't know whether it's true that there would be any greater fees to pay in the event of a no deal Brexit or any other possible outcome of the current goings-on in politics, but I sincerely hope someone from as far away as possible likes this boat enough to buy it and remove it.

The buyer would probably not be wise to take it to the Netherlands and try to sell it as "Dutch Barge Style".

He could "crowd fund" any export fees - I'd contribute towards taking that thing off the UK inland waterways!
