  1. Hello all! I have a Morco F11E water heater. Every time I start it all the flames ignite but go out either immediately or after a few seconds. It then tries to relight but only one or two flames will light around the ignition. In the relighting stage I can manually light all the others with a handheld flame. Seems to me there are two problems, the gas flow shutting down and the ignition failing to light fully after the first try. Any ideas? I've cleaned out the water filter and pumped up the accumulator and the water flow sensor stays on while running so i don't think it's a water pressure issue, more likely gas pressure? Thanks in advance!
  2. sorry it's a Paloma not Rinni we have a old Paloma water heater (changing in a year or so £££) and need to know what bar pressure the full water system should be with a total water system fit out. Dose the fresh water pump control the Bar pressure to the Paloma, will it still hold pressure with cold tap and hot tap running? We are also moving the bathroom from next to the heater to 25ft away with the heater staying put (in kitchen). Can this affect the pressure? Not to worried about hot hot water just a warm shower till we change heater.
  3. Hello there, Sorry for starting a probably well thrashed-out and potentially very stupid post, but after reading this forum and googling in general for an embarrassingly long time without gaining an understanding of what will do the trick, I'm still scratching my head. I'm doing up a 45footer and I'm after a system that will provide hot water for bath/shower, taps, a couple of little radiators for chilly mornings. I've got a little multifuel stove for heating on really cold days, and I have a morco d61 which I haven't fitted yet because I've realised I won't be able to run any radiators off it (useless, I know). I'm hoping to get a combi boiler of some sort, but the only ones mentioned on here are Alde, which appear to be in the over-a-grand cost region, which is a bit of an issue....but could be managed with a bit of saving. Would any other kind of combi boiler do, would I need anything else with it, or would a tank > pump > boiler > taps/radiators setup be functional? I've read some of the really useful guides on boat heating and water systems and I'm really impressed, I know a lot more than I did but I'm still wondering if there's a reason why you can't just buy an lpg boiler like this: http://www.mrcentralheating.co.uk/Heatline-CaprizPlus-24KW-Combi-Boiler-and-Fernox-Installers-Pack?gclid=Cj0KEQjw6pGfBRD09M-TmYTBzqIBEiQAcRzH5xtPIk5-EU3__2QYKdILCB5vKBf-3YkP9BYH3YKQ08kaApF78P8HAQ& Many thanks for your help all, and sorry again for starting a new topic on this. 4. Hi everyone, I'm new in here an also in the boat world. I've recently bought a wide beam with my partner and now is time to build it inside. I have a couple of questions and perhaps you guys can help me. 1: I'd like to install a hatch but before to do so I'd like to know if I need permission and then it will be ok for the BSS and all this paperwork. 2: I don't like how calorifier works and I'd like to install a water heater boiler LPG room sealed from Forcali o Morco I think I they really good and safe but I don't know if the regulation allows to install it. somebody know if I can do it or if there are better options? Thank you so much for your help Cheers :)
  5. We are fitting out a boat so its bare bones and one thing we have the space for and really feel like we would get plenty of use from is a bath. We have a 1000L watertank. I am just trying to get to grips with what the hot water set ups are in boats. We do have a diesel heater which came with the boat which needs to be set up. I dont fully understand it that would need a calorifier to have the water stored in or can have instant hot water. Main thing im worried about is having to have two large calorofiers to fill the bath. I know also theres LPG boilers you can get. perhaps having the bath hot water run off that would be the best option? What sort of set ups do you bath owners have?
  6. I have a 1969 Creighton Inlander 26ft Centre Cockpit GRP Cruiser and am based at King's Bromley Marina in Lichfield, Staffordshire. The boat has a petrol outboard and used to have an instant water heater fitted but apparently this was removed years ago due to a change in the Boat Safety Regulations. However, I have now been informed that the regulations have changed again and I can now have one fitted. Firstly, can somebody confirm that this is correct and, if so, please recommend a suitable Gas Engineer to quote and install the heater, I have scoured the internet but to no avail. I look forward to your responses (hopefully)
  7. Hi all, I don't know if anyone has had a similar experience, but I'm having problems with my Rinnai water heater. The boat hasn't been used for months, and now the water heater isn't firing up when there is a demand for hot water. It worked fine before. The pilot light works fine, and I have temporarily removed the water filter in case it was blocked and affecting water pressure. I have also swapped the gas bottles to make sure that the gas pressure is sufficient. I installed the unit a couple of years ago, but I've probably only used it a dozen times, so it seems hard to believe that any of the components have worn out! Now that I've ruled out the 'cheap' solutions I'm guessing it's going to require a more expensive one. I've looked quickly at the spare part prices for these things and they seem pretty high. Can anyone suggest why the unit isn't firing up when I turn on the hot tap? I guess one reason is a split diaphragm, but why would it split after so little use. I should confess that I haven't drained it down until now, so maybe frost has something to do with it, but we haven't had any really hard frosts in the meantime, and in addition I haven't noticed any leaks. Thanks. Oh, just one more thing.... Is there an easy way to check the water pressure coming out of the tap? It doesn't seem great.... Thanks
  8. Some of you will remember that I have been having issues with my Paloma water heater. The issue is that the pilot light comes on but wont it wont fire up when the tap is on. I have made a fascinating film that hopefully explains it better, you will see and hear that nothing much happens until I turn the tap off when the burner tries to light before going out. It has been suggested on here that it may be the diaphragm, and I was very kindly send a replacement by our very own BEngo. I changed that with little hassle, but am still in the same situation. At the mo my options seem to be: Replace: Paloma Bob/ebay Repair Paloma Bob Unless the team have any further suggestions? Cheers and thanks to Nigel (BEngo) for his generosity (beer waiting) Rob
