  1. Well I hate to say it, and its with heavy heart, but unexpectedly while delivering Bodmin to the new owner, we have now sold Banstead. A bit out of the blue, but in a way better than holding on for months, and it never even hit the open market!!! Its been a great 13 years on he canal and I know we'll be back one day, but for now we are taking a break on land. I'll keep an eye on the forum and will always have an interest with historic boats. Good luck to all you custodians! Ben
  2. Just passed me today on the grand union heading south from berko, heading to the Thames to be craned out and taken back to t' north. Not many boats make you feel small on a town class!

  5. I had one motor and two butties for a time and I can only agree with Alan's comment! But if I was loaded I'd have many more. And my own marina to put them in.

We have a 10gb plan with three. which is plenty of data for surfing the net of an evening. however when we watched a film with blinkbox, we used up all the data very quickly, then had no connection for the rest of the month. The good thing was that we didn't incur any additional fee for going above our limit.
  8. Thanks Alan, I am thinking of them. Are they still there?
  9. I haven't been that way for a while, but weren't they on the off side just north of Edgware and Balham. Covered by an old green tarp?
  10. That's what usually happens with jobs when the wage is crap!
  11. Interesting that all of the crewed photos are of Tom Hicks and none of the so called new owner!

Imagine a couple of fatties sitting on one side!how stable can it possibly be. Where does the fuel for the outboard go? Or is it electric! Wouldn't fancy having to row it!
  13. First one Hawksbury I think
  14. Speak to someone with a widebeam and see if you can get a trip on their boat, more room on the back deck. An obese boat for an obese passenger! Coat.......
  15. Just use the age section. I use 1965 as my marker
