  1. I have read a number os posts about TV aerials and decided to buy a Gigaboost with powered signal amplifier. It's designed to run off a 230 volt supply, and I'm not sure what else I need to use it with 12 volt power on the boat - do I need a DC1 in-line DC inserter or decoupler or a regulated power adaptor as I've read on the forum, or both of these? What are these in any case and are they easy to obtain/fix up? Can anyone help in words of one syllable please - I don't really do technical stuff - I just want to see the Olympics.
  2. We have two flat steel hatch covers on our large front deck, each 860x780 and around 3mm thick. They are VERY heavy to lift, and I wondered whether it wold be possible to replace the steel with Aluminium treadplate, and how thick it would need to be. Any thoughts would be gratefully received, and also any likely sources of aluminium. Otherwise, I might lose a fi nger one day ....
  3. This sounds interesting. Can you give a product name, and where is the best place to look for this stuff?
  4. Is there any way of marking items that have been sold, or removing/archiving them? It might make it easier to use this section.
  5. I'm trying to design a settee converting to a double bed, and I need folding legs or brackets for support. I've seen folding leg brackets on a lot of USA websites, but I can't find anything in the UK. Can anyone help?
