    I have a 10ltr tank. Takes 15/20 mins to reach very hot !! with the engine running. This gives two showers no problem, because you have to mix in the cold water, making the tank in effect 30 ltr. As we are travelling along we could have a shower every 15 mins. I lot of people make the mistake of getting a large tank, you don't need it.

    I did meen, the owner of the boat has signed up his boat "Clarrie" to be in the moorings. The marine owners wouldn't let another boat in it's place. I tried to do a 6 month swop with another boat (same size) the marina owners wouldn't let us do it.

    Suggest you read Bill Bryson's book "Notes from a small island" he quickly learnt to ignor all Englishmen's advice on routes etc.

    I think the white bucket on the right might be worth a few bob and very handy for baleing out the two boats on the left.

    Hi Daniel, Thanks for the information, I'll certainly look into doing this myself. Clarrie my boat is in dry dock this Easter so I can practice in the dry. Thanks again

    A boater near us did this and we all called the boat "Skippy" much to the annoyance of the owner.

    Sorry to be very ignorent about stern tube packing. Can the stern tube be repacked while the boat is in the water? I always thought water would rush in (enough to sink the boat) so I have always had it done by a "professional" please forgive me for asking this.
