  4. Are but if Trigger used the original nails would it be correct? Just to add, Pete is going it solo as commitees tend to push things up a different path and Pete wants to be in control. Thanks for the help here Carl by the way. Cheers Terence

  6. Cheers Dan! I stopped taking pictures after the third one but the boat is now sat on blocks, off the cradle frame, which is now ready to be pulled out from under the boat in a couple of days - fingers crossed. Slightly off topic: Have you managed to follow my 'planter painting course' on Twitter? I'll try to finish it off this week. All my wife's idea... she's now got me Tweeting @CanalArts. Thanks for following me - I have the vast number of 17 followers! Terence
  7. This is the same boat but a completely different topic. Please don't get it mixed up with the 'fireworks' thread between Carl and Evo. Try to let that one go and look at this as something entirely different Terence
  8. Only managed to take these three... Terence
  9. Just got back from shunting Lucy twenty foot across the yard freeing up space so to lift out Clent and drop her into place. The cradle will be hauled down to the Marinal and dropped into the water ready to float Clent into position and lifted out together. I think you know the rest. Terence

  17. Hi Greg, My first introduction to the canal system was a teenager with Middlewich Narrowboats. I attended three school trips with the company and thought what a wonderful way to holiday. When I was old enough to hire my own boat it was a 'no frills' boat at Middlewich and the then owners were wonderful at getting us going. I then hired every year after, Juniper, Holly, Almond, and more. I introduced my daughter to boating through Middlewich. Many many years of super boating. Even when one of the most important days of my life went belly up, I better explain, we booked our honeymoon with Middlewich and when only five minutes away from the Wharf they called us to tell us that the boat we had booked had broken down. As you can imagine we were devastated. Trish a member of the then staff met us on arrival all apologetic and in tears. The love had phoned every boat company she knew to find us a boat (Wrenbury came to the rescue) we were refunded our money, given a free week holiday whenever we wanted and a lovely bottle of bubbly. Finally to show how much we thought of Middlewich Narrowboats when we moved to live in America we actually flew back just for two weeks on one of their boats (Cedar). The only reason we have stopped holidaying with them is we simply now have our own boat (Empire). If it wasn't for my time with Middlewich I don't think I would have become a Roses & Castles Painter and have a great business. Middlewich Narrowboats for me, super, first rate, friendly with traditional boats. Thankyou Middlewich Narrowboats. Terence
