Did the old cassette have wheels and a handle like the new design do? I have the old style without either. I've wondered before if they are interchangeable. It looks like they are not. Perhaps you could remove the handle. Photo doesn't clearly show how it is fixed to the cassette.

I believe that the top limit on the diode test is 800mV. Hi All, I'm having some charging issues. Measuring the charge voltage first thing in the morning my Uni-T UT203 shows a current of around 30 Amps from an Iskra 11.203.918 alternator rated at 80A fitted on a Lombardini LDW1404 engine. The alternator has done about 2 years service. This is going into a battery bank which was originally 4 X 115 Ah batteries about 5 years ago. The alternator achieves 14 + volts. The rev counter has also stopped working. What do you all think? I have tested the alternator using the diode setting on the UT 203 and I get readings of 0.885 with the red lead on the alternator casing and no reading when reversed. What other tests should I be doing? I would have thought that the battery bank is sufficiently discharged to call for more than 30A first thing. I don't have any fixed battery monitoring kit. I do have the voltage reading from the Victron app from the solar panel controller which with no load this morning in the dark showed about 12.3V so around 60% charged. I'm looking at replacing the batteries before long and I'd like to be sure that I can keep them properly charged. Thanks, Phil

Two complete tanks side by side with a gap between them, Rudder stock between the two. Both tanks watertight. A common to both top to the tanks with a tube just bigger than the rudder stock bolted (welded?) to the top plate through which the rudder stock passes.

I had a cruiser stern boat built by Arcrite in 1983. As I recall there was a removeable plate that exposed the rudder stock which was not in a tube. So there would have been two tanks with a balance tube between them. Maybe the top section was common with a short rudder tube. The design of the Arcrite boats was pretty much a straight copy of the Harborough hull. I believe that the two guys who owned Arcrite had previously worked for Harborough Boats.

I have a wooden metre rule. No need for any additional markings, just measure the increase in level for a known volume of fuel added once to learn how many litres per cm or inch.

I'm not sure what those measurements would be. ID? Just measured the the plug on the mains transformer that came with my recently bought 535 and the OD is 5.5mm. I can't accurately measure the ID but it is around 2.5mm. 5.5mm OD x 2.5mm ID is a plug size that exists. You do get a 230V AC to 12V DC converter in the box if you buy new anyway.

Thanks for the replies. I think I should leave well alone. I haven't changed the defaults other than to change the passwords so should still be set to auto.

I've bitten the bullet and bought the Poynting antenna and Huawei router which has been recommend on here. It came with 5m cables. If I want to permanently fix the antenna it would mean cutting off the existing connections, shortening the cables and replacing the connections with new. Can anybody tell me what the connections are called and is it possible to fit them with no special kit? Where would be the best place to source the replacement fittings? Might it be possible to wire the router to a socket that the aerial could plug into? One other question, does it matter which way round the antenna cables are fitted to the router? I've experimented little and can't see a difference in performance. Thanks Phil

So that is an inverter charger not a generator but it has a pass through capability. As most shore supplies are 16 Amps it looks like it will be fine as a charger but since the pass through can be 25Amps you would need to be careful what loads you have running at the same time. I don't know if this model could use battery power via the inverter to meet any shorrtfall.
