  1. I find it may only work once with the tank fitted, but with tank off, With tank micro switch pressed, the pump switches on and off fine if you put your finger over the vacuum sensor hole. I have ordered new microswitches in case mine is malfunctioning like yours, when the tank is fitted.
  2. I cut off most of the top big flat side (Leave 7mm around the edge, say), refill and replace it in position , and stick the thick plastic duct tape wound round the whole box so it covers and overlaps the whole Top, so there is no air leakage. As the smelly air blown through is damp, it is a good chance to dry it out too.
  3. I cut out most of the top of the plastic carbon filter carefully, clear out old carbon pellets and dry it out, refill from cheap big bag of carbon granules, place the plastic side on top and secure with wide plastic gaffer tape. Works ok.
  4. Hello Pearley, Jonesthenuke and fellow toileteers, Right. I have been to the boat. On switch on, the toilet pump works for about fifteen seconds, then stops. Yellow Led on, green led off. The vacuum built goes as Some water is sucked into the tank, but The Pump Does Not Switch On Again, and doesn’t if you press loo pedal. The only way to get the pump on again is to switch off supply, wait, then switch on, when the above happens again. If holding tank off, red light on. If magnet held near reed switch, it clicks and Red Led comes on. If holding tank off but tank on micro switch pressed, yellow led comes on, but no motor after that initial 15 seconds. There is no vacuum, but motor does not come on. If you move the vacuum switch micro switch to stop it being pressed by the lever, the Green Led does come on, but no motor. So ...... as far as I can see, all three switches and motor operate. The motor does not stay on Long enough, so a Full vacuum is NOT created in the holding tank to make the vacuum switch operate and switch the pump off. 1. Why does the pump cut out after 15 seconds and not come on again, so a vacuum is Not maintained for the loo to operate?
  5. Jones, I have ordered two new microswitches, although mine seem to be working. Thank you. John Fox
  6. Many thanks again, Pearley. one query: You wrote as below Input pipe to Cassette base 0 by 6mm cross section is the zero a typo?
  7. Pearley, good to know. Thank you. Where do you get a full set of seals and other parts from, Pearley. please?
  8. Not yet - birthdays intervene! Going to boat Tuesday so will update you after that. Many thanks to you all for your valued suggestions and help. best wishes, John
  9. I think that it doesn’t come on again if you remove and reinsert the tank after that first 15 seconds, unless you switch off the supply, wait and then switch it on. I will check this in the next day or two when I go to the boat. During the first 15 seconds when the pump is going, it turns off a second after I pop my finger over the hole, and will do so repeatedly until the motor stops for good after about 15s.
  10. Hi Jonesthenuke, Thank you! Could you email your pdf files to me at johnaefox@hotmail.com please? best wishes, John and Liana Fox Pearley, I can hear the water entering the holding tank and of course then empty it. I have not touched the lock nuts but can see the lever mechanism move and open the switch when I put my finger on the hole during those first 15 seconds.
  11. Pearley, thank you. I’ve checked micro switches and connections, which seem ok. When I switch on the power, the pump builds a vacuum and sucks fluid into the holding tank. The pump then stops. The green light does NOT come on, the yellow light stays on, and nothing happens If you press the loo foot pedal, apart from water coming into the pan, if you don’t turn the water supply off. If you take the 4510 holding tank off, the red light comes on. what puzzles me is that the pump comes on for about 15 seconds when you switch on, and during this time you can make the pump switch on and off by putting your finger on the air pipe hole, with the holding tank removed and red micro switch pressed. With tank fitted, water below the pan can be heard Slowly entering the holding tank, but I think this means the vacuum must be lost. After 15 secs, it won’t come on again. If you press the pedal, there is no suction, as the loss of vacuum has not triggered the pump. There must be a fault overriding switching on both the pump and green light. All suggestions welcomed!
  12. Bee, thank you. I have talked to Michael at LeeSan. Is your switch simply connecting it to the battery, or somewhere else?
  13. Has anyone got a Dometic VT2500 vacuflush toilet in their shed? I need spare parts. Mine is made of black plastic with black 3 gallon 4510 holding tanks. The vacuum pump unit is misbehaving for me, despite me getting a new pcb for it from Australia.
