Did he say that?, I can't be bothered checking back.

Going against the flow I prefer the Semi .... outdoor space with seats that are protected from wind, lots of under seat storage. Easy to work on engine plus we have a semi cover so can work on engine in dry....

I agree , our semi trad has enclosed seating with rear doors that can be latched to keep dogs in plus under one seat is the battery bank and the other  has twin gas bottles  so easy to care for.

The engine 'ole is partly protected but has great access for all the jobs that need doing from time to time.

ETA we too have a cover with a vinyl window/skylight

  3. A lot has happened in my life since I posted on this thread in 2014 (post 20) and I was forced to sell my boat (health of my wife)

The boat was a Colecraft built in 1981 and was cold galvanised, the buyer had a survey and the surveyor said it had the best hull he had ever seen.

    Says something about the process.

I'm just wondering why a washing m/c let alone a tumble drier is needed on a narrowboat?

Because some of us like to launder our clothes and dry them , use of a tumble dryer means that clothes can come out folded and put away, no need to iron.

Not really for you to tell me, or furness, or anyone else, what to discuss or what not to discuss, is it!! Having said that, I notice you were happy to join in with a greenie so, perhaps, people in glass houses and all that eh?

We are actually talking about the consequences of Brexit, one of which seems to be that one of the few complaints that people here had, regarding the EU, (for the sake of good order - that is the subject of the OP), is not going to be changed.... I merely pointed out a couple of others, and furness brought up unnecessary EU regulations.

Unfortunately I think we are going to be talking about Brexit for a long time Phil. We are merely in a transition period, (had you not noticed :) ), and the initial outcome wont actually be put into place until the start of next year. Even after that, I dont see why we shouldnt talk about the consequences, good or bad... hopefully good :)

I was not TELLING you or anybody  what to discuss  but merely requesting,

I see he laughs at your post, but I can't see why.... He hasn't got 5, so could never named 5.... I don't know anybody who has. I'm only actually aware of 3, and that's from every Brexiteer that has cared to respond - most actually avoid the question.

We are out, Brexit exists, it's done and dusted one way or another, so pretty please can we all stop the infighting and bickering and not mention Brexit again ?

  7. Another use for a mud weight is to drop one off the off side and if you find that some scrote has loosen your lines during the night the mud weight will be sufficient to hold your boat where you moored up.

Just been along to look.  The last thread started 17/1/20 "Teacher smacked my legs".    Last post 20/1/20

I've already looked and came to the conclusion that compared to the volume of traffic the CWDF sub sec has very little and not all the comments are in anyway aimed at CWDF, you have to remember that for those who are banned it's a way of keeping upto date

It is not in anyway a form of support, we have stood on our own 2 feet for the last 4 years (is that right?)

I really can't see why it bothers you so much, why not regard it as an accolade?

I am one of the eight who haven't an account over in the other place but read it about three or four times a year.    However  I find it strange that after 4 years they still aren't independent and confident enough to not need a special section for discussing CWDF.

Not sure if anybody uses that part of the forum,  the problem is that everything ever posted stays around for ever, would suggest looking at the dates would bear  this out

If we didn't give wealthy pensioners like me bus passes, winter fuel allowances, and other bribes to vote conservative we might be able to solve the growing homelessness problem and become a first world country again.

You don't have to keep the winter fuel allowance and you are lucky to have buses to use your pass on
