  3. Really glad for you re the good outcome And what you are doing re with the money you got for the repair of the damage but its avisable that you keep quite about the way you intend to manage the claim money. as the money you got was for the repair, and as far as the insurance company that is the amount that should be spent on the repair. dont get me wrong your not doing anything that most people would do. but if you have the boat repaired for half tbe amount that was paid out by the insurance technicaly they could ask you to send the balance. anyway well done. and hope the boat is fixed as soon as poss, im not trying to be rightress, but could have a insurance accesor on the forum col

  21. Thanks Chris Is there suppose to be a fair amount of grease in where the cogs are When feeling the cogs teeth, they do seem to be very shallow, are they suppose to be like this, or is it as you said the cogs worn.? Many thanks Col
  22. Wife wanted the wet room re done so had to disconect the year old gulper, and now have reconnected it. Since doing this sometimes the pump does not pump, I've even had to test it by putting it in bowl of water and it works, connect it back to the system and it don't then for no reason it pumps again. At the moment last 2 days no problems, but losed confidence that it will pack up again. I've inspected the inside and diagfram looks good, seen a small amount of White grease, When the pump runs between the gulping sounds the wiring noise seems to be louder that normal and laboured is this normal,?? Does the pump gears need lots of grease? Should I re grease Is this whirring normal? Or is it going to stop pumping again soon when I'm in the shower? Or am I being paranoid? I realise the above may sound pathetic, but when you've spent hours in the wet room ankle deep in water taint pump of and on off and on it works then it don't working in a bowl reinstalling it then it don't work!! In fact at the time I would have been glad for the pump to be u/s then for no logical reason it started pumping again!! Any help and advice will be appreciated
  23. Remembering you can get to Spain along the canals, lots of folks do it They spend a fantastic time on board, going through France. Fantastic views, manned locks. The only stretch of sea you have to tackle, is the Engish Chanel to get over to France. My mt8 and his family done it this year left from Penton hook on the thames, to Spain taking his boat to it's new home. Col
