  7. Yeah cramp balls/king Alfreds cakes, mainly found on Ashdaldinea concentrica
  8. Yeah but it's fiddly, brake them down into little bits, easy to light with a small piece of normal firelighters and fast heat too. I normaly buy a bag and store for those emergency brass monkey days
  9. Oddly I now have no tolerance at all and in fact blame that on skunk, I can throw a whitey if I'm in the same room nowadays
  10. Pine cones are excellent firelighters/kindling
  11. But once you've used Sthil you won't go back
  12. They sent mine via PDF and shortly after I also received them via snail mail, end of June

  16. One of the lovely things is Eddy will adapt the design, one of the advantages of buying from a small family firm
  17. I agree with all of the above, lovely stoves for a fantastic price and Eddy is a gent but all of the above niggles bug me as well. For all their faults I like my squirrel
  18. Apparently Japanese TV going over the ponty aqua duct but I saw them ruing to the camera to film me, so I ducked down into the boat and put the kettle on, the boat went over with no one in charge Just in case, it was very quiet and only 1 boat wide and the wind was keeping me pinned on the towpath side so no one was hurt in the making of this film
  19. I enjoy the challenge of working as efficiently as possible but I also appreciate help carefully given
  20. considering how many of the pontoons in the Llan basin have been damaged by eber exhaust might the ropes been burnt by these?
  21. Oh yeah, well chuffed although more chuffed with the slow worms
  22. A combination big buggers and the newly hatched but I am confidant it was more than one clutch, honestly they were all over the grounds I ran the estate on organic principles and left many wood piles and quiet overgrown spots, so plenty of nesting locations. The teachers reaction came from ignorance and concerns about the children so fair enough tbh, once their fears were calmed the kids were involved
  23. Years ago I worked on a private school estate in the grounds and one summer we had what cold be discribed as a plague of em. never seen so many since, caused a bit of a panic amongst the teachers and I spent quite some time explaining they were no danger. found a couple of slow worms that year too
  24. In this case the mods removed the begging post, the man did try to engage me in private chat in Facebook but I basically said good luck but go away. One of his fans did pop up and try to support him but the thread got closed down fairly quickly
