  1. Unfortunately none are available that I am aware of Apparently there is Japanese news footage of my boat self steering over the bridge, I was having a grumpy day and saw the camera in the field below, so ducked into the cabin until we crossed
  2. Thank you, thats interesting
  3. I used to go over a lot and became very blasé, walked down the roof many a time, plus sat on the roof on the scary side with legs dangling. I like to think I helped entertain the tourists
  4. I use a long bar and sorta push with my shoulder, this leaving my hands free
  5. Not being a chemist I am not sure if there is any real difference but wood combines cellulose and lignin, they serve different roles in timber are they massively different from a chemist point of view?
  6. Zero moisture deficit made me giggle, field capacity is more commonly used in my world
  7. Watched a chap go over on one of those stand on paddle boards things once, now that I wouldn't do
  8. Only 2ft Saw dust is too fine to be a chainsaw
  9. I've had it happen to me once, badly loaded trailer and I fishtailed wildly across the Flint bridge crossing the river Dee. It was one of the scariest things thats ever happened to me, I had no training and no idea how to cope, completely out of control swerving over two lanes, no idea how I stopped it but luckily I did. To this day I am obsessive about towing and how the weights loaded.
  10. I must admit if I was in the market for a mud troll I would be tempted to give whoever did this a trial, a lot of work for pure vandalism
  11. Any normal saw would do it, plus I have some particularly lovely Japanese hand saws that would deal with something similar
  12. Just seen a photo of one of the beams and its definitely not a chainsaw
  13. Not that it matters a bit how the beam was cut off but the saw dust looks too fine for a chainsaw if it was a chainsaw it would have taken bloody ages with lots of noise, a supprising amount of smoke and the cut face would show burn marks and tbh there would have been a resonable chance the chain would have seized. I could obviously be wrong
  14. Did I win then? I didn't have any desire to get involved in the thread but as I knew the marina in question I posted my original reply, expecting that those who actually cared would do their own legwork, or at least google stuff. Sometimes I can be so naïve
  15. The way my voice sounds its not a licence i would get more like a noise abatement notice. thankfully i only sing when driving long distances on my own, so billy bragg even more out of tune than the man himself at full chat is unlikely to cause any issues to the wider world
  16. As a school boy I once made a batch of chocolates and laced them with some sort of Xlax and handed them out the following day at school. No one ever realised

  18. I admit the original link was out of date but added because it contained some useful information. Maybe I should have provided a more specific and appropriate link but I honestly thought if anyone had any real intrest they could easily used google themselves, at that point I hadn't looked at the company's house link myself. I lived not far from there for a good few years and the marina was private and owned by the Middletons or at least they had a financial intrest ( the family who used to own chirk castle and still live there) and I think it was one of the historic anomalies that didn't need a boat licence to use. All of the above could have changed since I left but as far as I understand the place is private and has no link with CRT. Anyway I've learned a lot more about Chirk marina than I ever wanted to
  19. Hope this works http://www.letmegooglethat.com/?q=Marine+services+chirk%2C+companies+house
  20. God sake, google marine services chirk, this will bring up a companys house web link which shows the marina is privately owned, for some reason i am unable to copy the link over. I think the Middleton family have an intrest in the place but all that information is available via google
