  1. Ok although im not as good looking as BSP will i do? whats Alice bizzard?
  2. Agreed, i had a serious chest infection about 4 years ago, stayed in bed for about 5 days and the next 2 weeks on the sofa but had the adavntage of local moorers keeping an eye on me. Hearing logs being split and stacked on my roof was a lovely sound. In fact yesterday i was off work with the lurgy and had a text asking if i wanted anything and was i OK? I am aware how lucky i am with my mooring.
  3. i can report BSP is feeling better than she did yesterday, im sure it was the honey that did it

  5. and at chirk bank and the Llan feeder and at whitehurst tunnel and at the limekilns, right now i would suggest dont try boating on the Llangollen canal and dont moor under any trees. cheers
  6. i would recomend tumbler or cherry tomatoes, the normal garden types will grown too big, chilies should do well in similar condtions try salad type crops, raddish, spring onions cut and come again lettice, plus there is a few types of small growing round carrots, again grow bags will do well for these. also use grow bags for all the greedy fruiting type crops, use once and then either throw away or recycle the old compost into the bottom third of next years pots all of these types of crop will reqire extra watering aside from the rain, just stick your finger in the compost, if finger is wet dont water but do not depend on the rain. a good plant food is a good idea used when recomended on the packet, do not over feed Herbs will do better in pots and the compost should be gritty, use the shop bought stuff but add 50% grit, most of the herbs we like to use are hot/dry country plants and need free draining compost but should do wonderfull on the roof of a boat as they like the sun and boat roofs are sun traps (well at least if we ever see the sun again). Oh and by the way BSP's plants would be a worthy recipent of a plant medal, if there was one, for survival in spite of extreme neglect

  15. so what will that achieve? I live on my boat on a leisure mooring, in what way is that a problem to you? i have a job pay my income tax and NI and as it happens contribute to council tax at another property which is not mine and i gain no beneft from, well apart from helping a family member to stay in her house. i keep my mooring tidy, pick litter and cut the grass nothing is left on the towpath, apart from my bike and log pile which i also keep tidy, the path is very wide so i also do not block the access. It seems to me all you would achieve is to potentialy get me thrown off my mooring where i harm no one and turn me into a continuous moorer seem a little pointless to me. i suppose it would give you something else to point at and shake your head whilst on the phone reporting yet another CMer to CaRT
  16. not sure what i could offer but if you need any extra labour just ask.

  19. duel identities virtual pub regulars, although James does pop into chat now and again
  20. for most of last year i didnt display either my mooring or licence, not because i didnt have one but simply because im a bit crap sometimes, oh and i dont have my boat name displayed simply because i painted my boat last year and want pucker painted job and at the moment can not afford it. I do display my boat number but oh dear its inside my bedroom window. for your information i am not a waster, i pay my way. it does seem as though i would be the "type" to be on your curtain twitching radar. i did get reported last year as well, recived the BW email and i replied pointing out there mistake in not continueing my direct debit payments as they had for the last 4 years, BW quickly replied, apologised and sorted out my licence. I should thank that curtain twitcher i suppose they did draw my attention to BWs mistake Hmmmmm where you on the Llangolen last year? Its simple isnt it, life isnt as simple(?) as you seem to think, dont judge others until you have the full facts and as you are unlikely to have the full facts leave it to those who do, in this case CaRT.
