  6. I've noticed on the main menu the subject is above the name of the poster, but, on the sub menu's the poster's name is above the subject. This is why I appear to be looking at a lot of poster's profiles recently. Does anyone else have this issue?

  13. To me the photo's hide more than they actually show? I would want to see photo's of the interior to be able to see what refurbishment it actually needs. If possible go and see the boat with someone who has knowlege of narrow boats As ever I would suggest you do not part with your reddies without a full survey.

  19. "What about changing a boat's name back to a previous name, do we get good luck instead? Our boat was originally built for the Cromford Canal Society and named John Gray. When we bought her she was called Muse, but we are planning to change the name back to John Gray as we like it better and it's nice to have something to link the boat back to its origins and history". Is it this boat? I recently visited Matlock and came across the terminus of the Cromford Canal - a beautiful little spot.

  23. I have renamed 4 sailing dinghy's and one NB and never had any misfortune because of it. I did have naming ceremonies, ertsatz champagne and Newcastle Brown Ale splashed over the bows but that was for a bit of fun and tradition rather than superstition.
