  3. Took me a week! with the same tools. had to drill out the grubscrews, take the top of the shaft off with a grinder and cut the top in half with a grinder. was thinking of doing the same with the bolts but didnt have enough shaft left sticking out so i had someone weld the lot back together and onto the stump of the shaft. oh well next time i need to replace the bearing i will have to out of water it and replace the lot!
  4. " keeping chickens afloat" Didn't know chickens sank
  5. while drilling about 20 holes in the roof to fit the stove, i used a normal £20 drill from B&Q on a very low speed with a bit of cutting compound and an old drill bit. i had to keep grinding it sharp again but it seemed to work! just keep the drill slow to avoid the bit getting hot and burning out!
  6. So you recomend mooring near B&Q? i suppose there may be a quite a few boats there that day so it might deterre any thoughts of studentism
  7. Even tho i'm only half an hour from the basin at lboro i have never stayed the night there. is it a pretty safe place to moor at night?
