The Inland Waterways Cruising School teaches boat handling to suit your requirements and instructs the Royal Yachting Association's Inland Waterways Helmsman's Course. It also examines for the International Certificate of Competence and CEVNI.
The location of the Training Centre in Worcestershire is ideal; no other can offer as many training scenarios. You will cruise a 58 feet, luxury narrowboat, along the Staffordshire and Worcestershire canal with its narrow locks, broad locks and staircases. You could then go onto the River Severn to learn the specific techniques associated with the river current, large locks controlled by lock keepers, anchor work and mooring.
