Canalboater

Ok fellas. Thank you for your advice on my earlier post on Towing. Just wanted to let you know the situation has changed somewhat. I have found a new mooring only slightly up the Stratford canal, probs about a half an hour drive or so. If any kind folks are out this weekend in the Hockley Heath area and are heading towards Erleswood or similarly anyone would like to offer to help me out for a fee of some sort or put me in touch with someone in that area who could help, it would be most appreciated. My canal boat got broken into the other day and as well as some internal things that were stolen they also took some parts of the engine. I therfore want to get it moved to a mooring to be repaired in safety. Two problems here, one the boat is not mobile and the engine work will take time, and second the only available/affordable mooring i can find is about a 9 nine hour canal boat ride away. It is currently in Hockley Heath, Birmingham and needs to be moved to Warwick. Any advice/help offered would be much appeciated. Thanks Joe

Hi. Just enquiring about possible interest in a 33ft narrow boat i own with my mother. It's currently out of action due to theives stealing parts of the engine days before it was to be moved to a new location and we've decided that due to the quote of 350 pounds for the engine to be fixed and loss of good faith and motivation due to the same events we would attempt to sell it. It is a lovely boat with a recently re-bored engine and it has great possibilities. It was made in 1992 by Brunel Bristol and has a steel hull, There is some interior work and the previously mentioned engine work which would probably equate to about 700 pounds of cost all together.
