As far as getting a marina goes. A lot of it depends on area. I'm guessing from talking to people around me that getting a marina in the north should be easier. The midlands is slowly becoming busier with boats moving from the north and choosing to travel to their boat rather than keep it north without water. The south has been very difficult for years. In regards to living on the marina, its best if you spend a lot of time off your mooring. The more you disappear the easier it is. Moorings are easier to find the smaller your boat is, but marinas sometimes have a minimum charge.

If the sister site allows you to keep doing what you have been doing.... give your current marina a huge box of chocolates and thank them for helping you out. They really have helped you out.

I don't actually bridge hop. But I use Google maps and spend a lot of time figuring out which bridge to use for a bus ride. Sometimes this can backfire as you can end up faced with a walk along a lane with no footpath in a setting sun. If you don't feel safe either tow path or grab an uber. The later I never used before getting a boat but wow i can be in the middle of nowhere and get a taxi very quickly. Life changing with risking a life changing injury.

To be fair, that wharf in walsall has only caused problems since it was built. Cars have driven in thinking it was grass, people fall in, no one moors there because of trouble. In answer to OP, it depends on the wind and how the boat has been handling. If for instance i nudged the last lock then im opening up the next pair. But if it sailed through with a big gap im probably going to keep doing it. Basically don't touch the gate, and if that's not possible then open them up. It's not just weather. Sometimes me and the boat just decide to do different things.

As anyone who has left there boat for a day can confirm, those sorts of places are impossible to forecast. One day there can be loads of spaces, and the next day it can be jam packed.

Logically, in this case, the receipt from the white diesel should suffice.

All a bit bizarre but good look to them i guess. I'm not sure the whole lot doesn't need ripping out. It basically had a big pound and a few truckloads of mud flow through it. I'd be presently surprised if the wood just needs a rub down. Anything is repairable, but I would think it's gonna take more than a lick of paint and a bit of welding. Should make for some good videos to be fair.

It's nice to have evidence your diesel wasn't used for propulsion. Isn't it?
