  1. We have shared this on Willowbridge Marinas facebook page, which has already reached several hundred people. I will display the flyer in the office also. I will check when we crane if any have this stern deck. Good luck with your hunt, hope you find the culprit
  2. Current Price of Red Diesel at Willowbridge Marina - Milton Keynes (Grand Union Canal) 59ppl - self declare what % is used for propulsion, your word is accepted, and dont try to force the 60/40 split on you. so if you think 10% you declare 10% and pay duty on 10% of fuel the duty for those that arnt aware should be the following - 43.77ppl duty +5% Vat = 45.9585ppl duty (inc vat @ 5%) for propulsion
  3. willowbridge marina is now 81p a litre
  4. due to be bringing it down on wednesday, hopefully to 82p pence a litre, possibly less, once price is confimed i will post
  5. currently the price is at 86p a litre at willowbridge, due to order more in the next few days, so i hope to be able to drop the price again, our second to last delivery was when we dropped the price, then the last delivery we paid more for per litre, but the price stayed at the lower rate, we aim to get it down as much as possible so we are only buying in 18k litres at a time, average reorder rate is every 2 weeks. i hope to be able to drop it at the next delivery
  6. we knew the people who lived aboard secret quite well, they have had alot of bad luck this last year, kay lost her baby about xmas time, and it was a tradgody what has happened, they were well known along this strech of the cut, and were liveaboards, many people dont understand why it happened, but know what happened, and how. after speaking with the police i do pity them with their job for this incident, i wont go into details about the inside of the boat, the boat has now been recovered, and is now secure until the police take it away. my thoughts go out to everybody along the canal from milton keynes to leighton buzzard, as they were known all along there at least, and most likley further
  7. im not saying all of them, but some of them come past a stupid speeds, and i have about 18 boats moored one after the other, and some of them wont stop when there is a boat being lifted out of the water, when we tell them to stop, for their own saftey! the best time is when its raining then they just motor past with no regards to the residents of the marina
  8. you need to use a "water resitant greese", morris lubricants version is K99, sold in small tins, for about £4 (ish). not sure what the other versions might be, we only stock morris lubricants
  9. i do like how you have used a wyvern boat as a example, how many people have to shout at them to slow down as they pass your moored boats? (i mean hire boats in general) i tend to have to shout several times a day to hire boats to slow down, when your trying to do a pump out, and a hire boat comes past at 6 mph, its abit worrying
  10. after fully reading this thread, i can confirm several things yes the marina has changed hands, we took over on the 21st march 2008 yes the crane was sold, and was being dismantled by the new owner yes, a tower crane would not be able to pick up the boats we do we are still open for buisness, cranings have resumed, diesel is now at 86p a litre there was no failure with the crane, the reason the crane was sold is that it wasnt economical to repair it, the tracks had come off, and the drive sprocket was beyond repair, there was no problems with the jib yes there is a bigger crane, the jones 971c could lift upto 25 tonnes, we now have a nck c41c that can lift upto 30 tonnes
