  1. I meant going southbound (at the north end). Guessing it’s not?
  2. Hi Regarding harecastle tunnel mooring (southbound entrance - at north end). Is it safe to moor there overnight? thanks
  3. Thanks for that, just a little concerned the gain loss per metre (.6pm) May out weight the gain created at 3.5dbi appreciate the link
  4. Thanks for that, which poynting 5g would you get as it’s alittle confusing which is omni directional and directional. thanks
  5. Hi been doing and reading up a lot on wifi including updates in this group. I’m kinda making a bee line to Maxview Roaming X due to good gain, router being 5g/4k streaming ready and to support heavy internet usage as I work from home using Ms teams/zoom a lot. Wondered if anyone has fitted the Maxview dish on the slight curved narrow boat roof? Has anyone got a Maxview and is all good? Keen to get a review as little is said about Maxview roaming on the Narrowboat world (very popular on campervans, caravans and motor boats). thanks
  6. Thanks all - appreciate the advice and responses
  7. Yes that’s my concern, struggle to think why the current owner wants to risk the warranty to save a few bob….given he/she spent a fortune. Thanks I will call canal line in the morning. Guess my question is are they decent engine? Seems it’s popular on the network? will try and see if the current owner can cover the full service cost given the risk they are transferring to me. thanks
  8. Boat is January 2022, 1yr old, same as engine. Warranty 36months or 1,500 hrs which ever comes first. thanks
  9. Hi looking for advice. I’m in the process of buying a used but fairly new Narrowboat fitted with canaline 42 engine with 280hrs run in. Going through surveyor check at the moment. The existing silly owner hasn’t had it service yet, missing the 50 and 250 hours service intervals - potential voiding the warranty. Should I be concerned / worried and would you still go ahead with purchase? trying to manage heart vs brain emotions here as I have been looking for sometime. many thanks
  10. Hi I’m about dip into the deep end and buy my first Narrowboat. We have decided to skip ahead to get a boat that will last us for more than 5yrs - meaning a decent size budget. we have seen a s.Jackson & son boat that’s been fitted out by Cain. I haven’t really come across these during my lengthy search history and wondered if anyone has good or bad experiences of these builders/fitted? many thanks J&J
