Interesting, so would you say it would be different to my current setup? I have a 2kw inverter currently, and it works fine with the current 2 110amp batteries is lithium restrictive with this?

Hi Guys, I am looking to 'upgrade' my current battery set-up. I currently have 2 110amp Lead ACID. My welded battery tray only has room for 3 batteries at a very limited 30cm length. I was looking to upgrade to two 100Amp Lithium batteries and keep my current starter. Is this possible? Is 200amp lithium enough for my small 45ft boat - I only keep a 12v fridge on and never go mad. Occasionally I turn my inverter on. Or would I be best spent changing my battery tray and fitting in 3AGM 110amp and one starter. Budget 1000, would rather not spend a fortune on re-welding the tray. Thanks, Please don't knock me down. Any advice is appreciated

A heap is a bit savage on the poor boat. I paid for a full survey and took every correct step. Just obvious the owner knew it was the head gasket and didn’t think to be honest at all or get it repaired which is sad. I have got in touch and I will be sending them an invoice for the bill, however I can’t wait around here forever. I am miles from home and need to get my house back!

Hi guys, just an updated. Been towed by a lovely gentleman who also gave me a care package as I’ve been away from shops for so long. Engineer comes Friday. Thanks all, hopefully the issue will be addressed and not too expensive

Hi, I got it through my insurance company and didn’t realise how pathetic the cover was. They charge a call out fee unfortunately on my level of membership, now it is too late to up the membership as they know about the breakdown. The bill is estimated to be 1k +. I would rather have this engineer do it. Thank you, Anthony

Hi, I have cover. They weren’t much help and quoted me a ridiculous price for the work and my cover didn’t stretch far enough for a tow unfortunately. Thank you though, appreciate it

Hi, that’s where I’m trying to get a tow to. He is a great guy and has helped me out with an engineer. I need to get towed as I’m in the middle of nowhere and need electricity, water etc. thanks Anthony

That’s a postcode and no the boat didn’t come with any guarantees. Fairly standard for the age of the vessel. They have not been helpful which has been very disappointing

Hi, could anyone give me a tow from Colehurst Farm, 2DU, Coventry to Brinklow Marina. Approximately 1hr of cursing? My head gasket has gone, I’ve only just bought the boat from the Ashby Canal Centre. Absolutely gutted and in need of some advice/assistance. Thanks guys
