  1. Hi Tracy! Thank you. Yes, an accumulator for cold water, to smooth out the water supply and avoid using the pump in the dead of night. Okay! Yes avoiding the pump coming on when I don't have daylight for solar is useful.
  2. Hello! I have a cold water plumbing system which leads to a paloma boiler, a few taps and a shower. I currently have a 500l water tank which leads to a jabsco 12v 25psi pump and an 18L expansion vessel. The expansion vessel is bust and leaking. So I need a new one. There's a whole range of prices and sizes available online. Does anyone have any tips on buying a new one? Size guides suggest I could go for a smaller size than 18L. Is there any point in spending more money on a more expensive one? Currently looking at this: https://www.mrcentralheating.co.uk/heatwave-12-litre-heating-expansion-vessel Thanks, James
  3. Hi all, I'm replacing the front and back plates on my Moros 1430. I need to remove the air intake from the top plate to get at the bolts which secure the top plate to the side plates. The bolts are completely frozen in place. Tips on removing them? Cheers, James
  4. Hello! I do thames trips from Limehouse to Twickenham a couple of times a year. I have a Shoreline compact WR VHF (see attached). It works, but I don't have a fist mic! I've spoken with a company who sells cab radios who have the correct join, but say they need to know the wiring set up! Does anyone have an old shoreline VHF who knows the type of wiring? Or do they have a fist mic that might work? Cheers! James
  5. Everyone, thanks very much for your advice, all very helpful. Cheers, J
  6. Thank you! Yes I've heard the screws are a pain, but the previous owner says he stripped it down a couple years ago so it might be Okay. Thanks mate.
  7. Hey everyone, I have a morso squirrel 1430. There are two cracks at the top of the front plate at the top where the securing lugs are. Does anyone know if operating the fire with these cracks is dangerous? Can cracks be repaired, or should I just buy a new front plate from Morso? Cheers, James
